Join by link
All you need to join a Teams meeting is a link.

Select Join Microsoft Teams Meeting in your meeting invite to be taken to a page where you can choose to either join on the web or download the desktop app. If you already have the Teams app, the meeting will open there automatically.
If you don’t have a Teams account and the organizer has allowed it, you may have the option to enter your name to join the meeting as a guest. If you do have a Teams account, select Sign in to join with access to the meeting chat and more. Then, depending on the organizer’s settings, you may join the meeting right away or go to the lobby where people in the meeting can admit you.
Join from calendar
Select the Calendar icon on the left side of the app to see your meetings. Find the meeting you want, and then select Join.

Or, if someone starts the meeting, you’ll get a notification you can use to join.
Join in a channel
If a meeting takes place in a channel, you’ll see an invitation to join, relevant content, and who’s in the meeting right in the channel. Just select Join.

Join from chat
If the meeting has already begun, it appears in your recent chat list. Select the meeting in your chat list and then select Join at the top of the chat.

Join as a guest
- Go to the meeting invite and select Join Microsoft Teams Meeting.

The first step in joining a Microsoft Teams meeting without an Office 365 account is simple. You’ll first want to check your email for the invite. You’ll then want to click the link on the bottom of the email that says Join Microsoft Teams Meeting. Once you click that, you also can Accept the invite to add it to your calendar in your email.
- Open Teams on the web or download the program
That’ll open a web page, where you’ll see two choices: Download the Windows app and Join on the web instead. If you join on the web, you can use either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. Your browser may ask if it’s okay for Teams to use your mic and camera. Be sure to allow it so you’ll be seen and heard in your meeting.

- Get ready for the meeting
Enter your name and choose your audio and video settings. If the meeting room (or another device that’s connected to the meeting) is nearby, choose Audio off to avoid disrupting. Select Phone audio if you want to listen to the meeting on your mobile phone.

- When you’re ready, hit Join now.
This will bring you into the meeting lobby. We’ll notify the meeting organizer that you’re there, and someone in the meeting can then admit you.
Notes:
- If no one admits you to the meeting within 15 minutes, you’ll be removed from the lobby. If that happens, you can try joining again.
- Some features of Teams meetings aren’t available to guests.
